My toes are messed up after wearing improperly fitting dress shoes (totally my own stubborn fault). It isn’t bad enough for surgery, so after researching on my own I figured I’d carefully give these a shot. Monitor and be cognizant of hot your structures are changed while wearing these. If you’re mindful, they can definitely help correct your toes! I will wear the big ones to bed, and the small ones when I wear new, stiff shoes. As for comfort, the material is very soft and doesn’t cling to my feet too much. I get clammy from time-to-time but these don’t bother me when that happens. They do pick up lint, but a quick rinse under cool water helps.
These substantially helped decrease my foot pain and helped get better bone alignment for problems related to flat feet. It took some getting used to but I can now use them several hours a day if I want. After a very short time, I felt the muscles in the arch of my foot "turn back on."Not a cure all however. If you have other foot issues, you must examine the problem carefully, but these helped a lot. Coupled with some different mobility exercises and focusing on stiff Achilles, IT band and hip flexors my foot pain is maybe 15% what it was after only several weeks.....but it takes time and effort.
I've had a bunion on my left foot for years and it never bothered me until about a week ago when I noticed that my big toe was really crossing over my second toe and becoming really painful walking. I remembered seeing these things when I was looking for a metatarsal support pad and decided to come back and order these. Bottom line: I took them out of the package, put it on and pain was instantly gone. Never know I have them on. I am a size 11 shoe and they work great. You will be really pleased with the relief.
After the first use I could feel relief from the pain in my toes. The pain had been so bad it kept me up at night and my toes were so stiff I could not move them. Now after a week of use I have worked up to wearing these toes for 35 minutes at a time and my toes move easily and I am able to rest. I do feel some improvement in my plantar fasciitis pain as well. I would recommend the Gems model to those with wide feet because I am able easily put them on. I am so glad I tried these!!
I got these because, though I don’t have a bunion, I have big toe pain and limited motion from an injury and wanted something small I could wear inside shoes to help relieve the strain. They’re comfortable and the small profile is good for fitting inside shoes but as some other reviews have said, the separator could be a little thicker- it doesn’t quite straighten out my toe but it’s a start.
They are a little difficult to get in, mostly the smaller toes because I am older & have trouble getting down to my toes. But they are definitely worth the effort. I have bunions on both feet. The big toe turning in cramps all the toes & when I wear socks all day my toes are really bound together by night. I put them in & watch tv for an hour to get them relaxed before bed. I don’t think wearing them to bed would be a good idea. An hour seems to be plenty. I cannot walk with them on. They are so thick on the bottom it hurts to stand. So I have to make sure I have what I need & am settled for an hour. I have been very pleased!
I will wear these for a day or 2 and then my bunions won't ache for at least a month! Comfortable enough to wear with shoes but I usually wear them to bed so I don't even notice them being on and the relief is long lasting!
I am trying to do everything I can to keep my Tailor's Bunions (aka bunionettes, lateral MTP joint deformity) from requiring surgery. It hasn't progressed to that point yet, but the symptoms are definitely prominent: pain/sensitivity of the pinkie toe, soreness/achiness of the foot. So aside from replacing all of my shoes, I decided to use these toe separators. They are pretty awesome. It looks kind of funny but after a day on my feet, I deck my toes out with these and put my feet up for about 30 min. It feels like a new foot afterwards! Really helps my symptoms. Not sure if these should be worn for longer periods of time (ie overnight, multiple hours, etc) given the constant skin contact could result in sores, but for 10-30 min, sometimes an hour, if it's tolerable, it makes my feet and toes feel better.Easy to wash (just water and mild soap), easy to put on, easy to remove. Nothing wrong with that in my book.
Very comfortable when one toe overlaps and causes a painful corn. Very hard to find tho and different from some years ago. I would recommend these if you have such a problem. Even my podiatrist does not have them, rather something different that fails to stay in place.
i’ve had these caps for over a year (please note that i only train on pointe for about an hour once a week or so) and they are still holding up very well. they are my absolute favorite toe caps, and they help me a lot from sinking into my shoe (which was a big problem with my very narrow feet). they can get a little bit sweaty, but i really have no complaints with these :)
These definitely deliver! But I wish that the top and bottom part was thinner. I cant really sleep in these because the gel gets stuck to the sheets :( However I wear them when I can and they no longer hurt. My hammer toes are straightening up, YAY! They are also perfect to use when applying nail polish. If I could sleep in them and the top and bottom were not as thick it would get 5 stars. But a well made and hygienic product.
These work very well @ keeping my toes separated. I haven't ripped one yet but I think u should treat them carefully. Don't go stretching them more then u have to to put on and take off. I dont wear to bed because they do "grip" the bed linens and could stretch to the breaking point. I know when I wear these out I will buy them again. I might buy more now so I have them in stock. Im hoping to get at least a year out of each pair but like I said these r worth alot because they stop my toes from crossing and prevents pain while walking.
These! These! These saved my sanity. I tried a few different products before i got to these, and none of them worked as well as these. They either bunched up in my shoe/sock, we're painful to wear, didn't stop the pain, or didn't even fit
My bunions are bad. I had a surgeon tell me that he didn't want to operate on them because he believed surgery would not be beneficial and they would likely reform. So I've lived with them for several years but I live a fairly active life and have noticed that my balance isn't as good as it used to be and I believe it's because my feet are becoming increasingly contorted. I have found that the toe separators help "push" the big toes away from the other toes and give me more centered weight placement on my feet. I've only had them about a week, but I believe they have helped. They are comfortable, I am able to wear them under my shoes with no problem. They have done as was described in the product description and overall I'm quite happy with them.
I've noticed bunions developing in the past month and the pain is becoming more intolerable. I put these on for the first time after wearing heels all day. My bunions were driving me crazy. Within just a few minutes of wearing them I knew I had found an answer. I was able to wear them in my tennis shoes during my workout with no issues. I don't want to take them off! While there is nothing sexy about how they look, there is also nothing sexy about a bunion. I'll choose to wear them and have happy feet.
While an athlete in college I developed turf toe, an injury to the joint of the big toe. Over the years this also resulted in a bunion on one foot that has become ncreasingly painful as of late. But I can honestly say that since buying these toe separators I have had zero bunion pain. Sirez the bunion still exists, but the pain from it has subsided. Hard to believe a squishy little toe separator would do this, but I'm glad it has! Highly recommended.
I am so happy I bought these! Reading an athlete describe her challenges getting past the first few minutes. I was surprised, given the sort of crisis point of my own toes/feet, I would face the same thing. No problem with pain. It was a little hard to get them on, my toes ate so bad. But, I kept them on for 15mins. No pain, but some clear initial results! I can see that using this regularly will really help change my foot structure. I'm very excited to find a nonsurgical help!!Note on followup: I wrote the review about 5 days ago. I've been Loving these. They are easy, confortable, and making a strikingly noticeable difference, that increases each day. I also use insoles, and now a brace. Changing my severe planters fascitis is Real!! Thank you thank you
